When to quit using a baby monitor at night?

MissLiss asked:
My DD is 4 month old. We dont use a monitor right now because she sleeps in the same room (1 bedroom rental house only 560sq ft) We bought a 1200sqft house and will be moving when she is just over 5 months old. My question is how long did you personally use a monitor for? We own one so its Ill use it for naps cause I could be anywhere at nap time in the house but her bedroom is right across from ours. Im thinking it might work best just to leave both bedroom doors open at night? Im sure we’ll try it out either way and see what works but a little input is nice. Thanks.

I bought a video monitor at walmart and it was horrible full of static and it would black out etc. For $100 what can you expect I guess, but do you know where I can get a good one? Price doesnt matter. Have you had any good experiences with them or do you like the old fashioned ones better?

Baby video monitors - Is LED (light-emitting-diode) safe for babies?

Jessica asked:
As I know, the LED (light-emitting-diode) lights on the baby so that we can see our baby at night time. But I wonder if I use the monitor for a long time, is the LED harmful or absolutely safe for my baby?
Does anybody know?
Thanks.

What Should I Get My Sister For Her Baby Shower?

cece1012003 asked:
My sister is pregnant with her first child, and despite economic times I really wanted to get her something nice and memorable. I was thinking of a video baby monitor with a camera and television screen, so she could actually see what was going on with her child. I was also thinking of getting her one of those digital video cameras to tape some memories of her kid, parents love that.

I think each gift would be nice, but I don’t know what would be a good one for me to get. What do you think would be a good gift?

I’ve heard if you’re ****** feeding that that alone will be effective in preventing you from getting pregnant again. How long is that true for? The entire time or just the first few months? I plan on breastfeeding for at least a year when I do have children, so would it work that long? Thanks.
