me and my husband has been trying to conceive for more than a year, with no success. we are considering ivf and are doing some research about it, as well as looking for a clinic/center/hospital that’s good about the practice. ive seen the Brandeis Fertility Center one time during browsing the net. Has anyone here tried ivf in this center? what can you say about it?

I am 39 weeks and 4 days and i am due on January 15, 2009. This pregnancy is conceived though fertility treatments like IVF and ICSI. I would like to ask some opinions of people who conceived through fertility treatments and to those who know people who did the same treatment. Since the doctors are the one taking control of the conception of the eggs and ***** and its fertilization, i am wondering if i am gonna give birth exactly the same time of my estimated due date and if they are all the time accurate. anyone please?

One of my wife’s friend did undergo her first cycle of IVF last month. Unluckily, the quality of her eggs were not very good, and only one egg was able to be fertilized. The first cycle was not successful, and the infertility expert told her that improvement in her quality of eggs for furthe IVF is slim, that once the quality is bad, it goes steadily downhill and does not improve. Is this true? By the way, she is 28 years old.

My sister-in-law has ****** cancer and was given the option of IVF treatment, which she’d have to pay for.

However, she was told by her GP that the treatment was going to be about two grand, whereas she was phoned by the bank today because the NHS tried to take five grand from her bank account - which was declined. When she phoned the clinic, they told her this was how much it was going to cost all along.

Any ideas as to what she should do?

We are married for almost 5 years with no children. We don’t know what caused my husband’s low ***** count so we had ivf done with no success. I will also want to know if there are medications that will increase the ***** count. Also which hospital is best for fertility treatments.

Im getting ivf done, and I have read posts of women who have done the sub q injections rather than the intramuscular ones. I AM TERRIFIED of needles. If the success rate is the same i would rather go for the sub q. Any thoughts of what your RE have mentioned to you would help. THANKS!

I’m scheduled for IVF and today is day 14 of my cycle. My doctor originally did a scan on d8 and saw some follicles ranging from 10-14 in size. I thereafter went for another scan yesterday only for him to tell me that he couldnt find any follicles anymore!!! Is that possible, or did he leave it too late.

There are web sites like ivf vacations or ivf holidays but they want to charge a commission just to give the info. We really want to have a baby. Have looked into adoption and it is just as expensive. Please help.

IVF has been so glamorized lately that it got me to thinking…if a woman just wanted a chance to have multiples could she undergo IVF even though she didnt have fertility problems?is it something that someone that had the money could just play around with or what?
basically what im asking is…is it possible?can anyone get the treatments that can afford them?
