Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Breast Pump
The freedom breast pump has been designed to make using easy, effective and comfortable. Because it only has 3 pieces, it’s very quick and easy to clean and put together, unlike some pumps which have lots of fiddly parts. The flexible cup moulds to the shape of your breast so it fits comfortably. Within the cup is an extra soft area, through which you can massage your breast to encourage your milk to flow. The manual operation of the pump means it is discreet and easy to control for a comfortabl

Following the birth of my second child I decided to give breast feeding another go. Decided to buy a new breast pump, as having bought the ‘closer to nature’ bottles realised old pump would not fit. Instructions advise would expect to get 30-75ml of milk on 1st attempt, I managed 100ml. A lot more than I ever managed with my old pump.
Also, comes with a small microwave steriliser (big enough for pump and one small bottle, or two larger bottles.) Ideal if you intend to exclusively breast feed as keeps cost down.

I’ve had this product for almost 2 months but had to give up and buy another brand’s pump. The suction is not great and milk leaks from the cup whenever I expressed. It leaked so much that very little milk went into the bottle and I had to discard the milk each time cus it would never be enough for the baby. Total waste of my money and I’m highly disappointed.

I bought manual breast pump initially just to find out, if I get any milk out this way at all before I spend huge amounts of money on electric one.
From the start I was able to express 120ml without any trouble (do expect your breasts to be sore the first few days - with any pump), suction is great (as long as you position your breast well & are fine with holding the pump at the breast with one hand and pumping with the other one, otherwise it leaks - annoying, but the same will probably happen with an electric one anyway)
It is very easy to assemble & take apart and clean. I must say though that after three months of using it once a day, my hands are truly sore and I started to look around for an electric version of the pump. So far I am not convinced as to which one to buy, as apart from the price they seem to have bad reviews because of the noise they create and poor suction..
If you do not need to express the milk every day, this pump is perfectly all you need.. Worked brilliantly for me so far..

If you have a plentiful supply and only want to express for some time away from ababy/daddy/granny to feed then this is great. However as the comments on 2 ad 1 star say, your hand suffers if you express often. I also could not increase my supply with this, as the 1 star comment states - not enough suction, losing milk before it reaches bottle - very discouraging. Mine is sat in cupboard for over month with non use now as originally was hoping to increase supply of one of my breasts…but for basic non frequent use it is ok.

I bought this pump because it was on offer at £12 when I wanted to increase my milk supply. It has been very helpful and mi milk increased, but it has been a hard job to pump manually as I had to do it when baby was sleep only as both hands have to be on the job (one holding it in place, the other one pumping). After 2 months of pumping 4-5 times a day the handle just broke. So I am going to get an electric one this time because I’m planning to pump for a long time. I think it is very good for the occasional pumping but not for several times a day. It also brings a steriliser which is very helpful to let it cool and keep it clean until use.
