firstly, before I say anything, i want to say that this is only open to people who are willing to help and give serious answers….I don’t need sarcastic, judgmental, common-sense answers please. I would kindly appreciate if I could get some real advice.

My last period was on Feb 10, and it’s end of April now, and I still haven’t gotten it. I admit to having unprotected *** in the interim (don’t need comments), and now I am concerned. I’m more than one and a half months late, so if I were to be pregnant, it would show up on a pregnancy test by now right? I’ve taken about 5 total tests and they all came out with clear negatives. But searching on Yahoo Answers, I’ve found that many women have had neg results yet when they get a blood test done, the hCG hormone is found.

The blood test is my absolute LAST resort (confidentiality matters w/parents/family doc+ insurance/records etc), so I want to be SURE I am not preg before I get one. I don’t want any trace of the hormone in my blood…
Anyway, so I’ve tracked the following symptoms: missed period, frequent ********* (could be a UTI though), fatigue (from stress/finals?), skin changes (could be from change of makeup?), sensitive *******.

These could all be because of something else, in fact it is probably more likely I have PCOS or something, but I really cannot afford to be pregnant at this point of my life and want to know what I can do at this point (besides obvious), to ensure I am not pregnant? I know that sounds stupid…..but I’m still not convinced with 5 negative pregnancy tests after a month of a missed period!! Basically, my question is,

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE HCG HORMONE TO SHOW UP ON A URINE TEST AFTER YOU HAVE MISSED YOUR PERIOD???

I know a lot of women take preg tests, the week before, or week of their missed period…i’m well passed that. What are my chances of being pregnant?
I AM 22 yrs old just for clarification
And the Planned Parenthoods in my area unfortunately do not give Blood tests, only Urine tests

Stopped taking the pill in Sept after being on the pill for 13 years. Last Period October 17th!!!

Taken tests but all negative up to new years eve.

BUT…… try ed to conceive on 1st Jan - and on the 6th Jan I have had a bright pink bleed lasted two wipes - next day a small about of brownish colored blood it doesn’t feel like a period and i think ( hope) it could be a implantation bleed - sorry if too much info!!

My Imagination is on overdrive and im sure im aching, and i can test metallic and i have a lose of appetite but it may just be me and i would only be 9 days pregnant is that too early for symptom??????

So gonna have to be in suspense until 2mrw morning when i think its best to re-take test.

Has anyone had this before?????

Any advice would be fantastic , please its all i think about!!

When I was pregnant with my daughter, it was the first time and only I cramp like that. And it was only twice. If you have these cramps or had them, how did you get rid of them? I have been eating bananas and drinking plenty of water and all that stuff that people suggest. But, I am afraid of stretching my legs in bed (that’s when it happens). Advice.Please.

I was taking tylenol and of course that didn’t work .My ob pres. me tylenol 3 and it didn’t work….she said she can’t give me anything else and I need to go to er to get iv fluids…..if this does work…..will have to keep going back to the er? please offer some advice IF you have experience in this and no negativity please and thank you.

my mother is pregant with her third child she has high blood pressure with this preganacy, she has been complaining of right arm numbness…..could it be due to high blood pressure???

i am about 2 mnths pregnant and so far i have not had no symptoms only the urge to vomit but i dont throw up. with my 1st pregancy i was very ill and the 2nd only threw up for about 2mnths into my pregnancy. i am concern becuase i dont know if this is ok, i know pregnancies are diffrent but is this normal???

i am 3 days late for my period and usually they come pretty spot on…. i have been having slight back pain and headaches (normally do not get that at all for my pms) and the slightest of cramps (completly different to normal period cramps) …. i know that i did have *** on my ovulation days (ttc) so its a possiblility….
i took a hpt 3 days ago and it was negative - just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar…?

the extremly light cramps come and go but they dont seem to feel like period cramps… in the same spot as period pain but it feels different. (if that makes sense)
any help at all would be great!
i am just concerned that if i do another HPT test it may be negative and then ill really be concerned as to what these symptoms are….

I had a positive pregnancy test on August 1st and again on the 3rd. Started bleeding on the 4th, called Dr’s office and spoke with nurse who wasn’t too worried, bleeding got worse on the 5th, went in for quant test and my levels were only at 5 the person who called didn’t give me any advice, bleeding continued for 6 or so more days, day 5 was when I passed several clots.
Hubby and I weren’t really trying to get pregnant, didn’t expect we could get pregnant so soon after MC. But on Aug 31 I took a test and it was positive, I took 4 more in different brands just to be sure. I called the Dr’s office and left a message, just wondering if I needed to take extra precautions. A nurse called back and gave me a lecture on not waiting 2 regular cycles and told me no worries. Then, after 15 minutes another nurse called, the doctor reviewed my case and wanted me to come in for a quant test 2day and an ultrasound next week.
So my questions are:
Under 5 is a barely pregnant level, correct? So I had been pregnant and didn’t have 2 false positives, right?
What is the purpose of waiting the 2 cycles? Does it put me at higher risk for having not waiting?
Anyone else go through this with a positive outcome?
